April 4, I posted this on my Facebook wall.
Obviously, it carried a serious tone which earned me 👍‘s, ❤️‘s and a comment from a dear friend/high school classmate who happened to be a beauty pageant connoisseur based in Mississipi, USA.
Unknown to my likers and commenters, there was a substory to it and my student gamely played along with me.
What an effortless win of a crown it was! Hahaha…😜🤪😂😆And I had Miss San Beda 2017, Lance Daryll Makalintal, to thank for!
When two of her classmates, Sophiya Faith Maranan and Mary-Joy Silva, and she had to do a photo shoot in our classroom for their “professional” magazine project in my class, I gave in to my impulse. 😂
It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance of being a “queen” even in a jiffy!
Yes, crowns are not made for me. Never in my wildest dream to subject myself to ogling eyes and be judged whether I got what it takes to be a beauty title holder. To add, I am a believer of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s wisdom which he expressed in “The Little Prince”:
“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched; they are felt with the heart.”
