Bonifacio Global City: The Second of A Trilogy of My Unceasing Wanderings

In my article at https://wanderingjouster.com/2014/10/28/my-guided-wanderings-sequel-2/ I declared the Hawaiian luau party as the highlight of  last month’s events.

But saying this does not mean that the sub-stories which took place that same month are not as memorable as the thanksgiving party.
Yesterday, I wrote about one of these secondary events. I did it with high hopes that my narrating about it would help in melting whatever solidified human oil booster I now have in my body which contributed to my lassitude. Today is the schedule for the second part.

Bonifacio Global City (BGC)

Choosing BGC as my new training site almost a week after my overnight stay in Legazpi City was due to the fact that I would have a very willing running date who happened to be billeted in a hotel nearby. He was no other than Edwin, the honoree in the party which I attended. Our October 10 meet-up was scheduled in lieu of a run which we failed to register in last September 21. A kindred runner and fitness enthusiast, he agreed to join me Friday morning a day before his return to his overseas work. It was a non-teaching day for me, so there was no problem with the time. Luckily,  it was also a day-off for Jerry Mayo, our on-call driver-for-hire. Requesting him to drive me to the place, I also informed him of the itinerary for the day. I was happy because his availability spelled “convenience” on my part. Hehehehe…
We arrived earlier at Market!Market!, our set meeting place. Good thing our waiting for Edwin did not take long. Thanks to mobile phones, updating about our location and ETA was easy.

While finishing our breakfast, I was also exchanging messages with another close friend/batchmate/kumare who confirmed her availability for lunch at MOA after her DFA appointment. Edwin and I were both happy to have Imelda Dado-Moratillo, complete our triumvirate. Our being together would provide a continuation to our conversation in Bicol. Walang kasawaang kwentuhan! But before our lunch with Dadz, the two of us dropped by the World Trade Center as per invitation of Ness Basco, my friend/BUHS schoolmate and supplier of native Bicol products. Her handicrafts were on-sale at Agrilink  and she wanted me to see the new “bayongs” she had designed.

Once we’re done at WTC, we proceeded to MOA where Dadz was already waiting for us at the National Bookstore. Warm greetings and hugs appeared to be endless between us. Then, we looked for the diner for our noon meal.

From accomplishing an almost 8-k run to visiting WTC and then conversing for more than an hour, this second part of my trilogy could already be likened to a marathon. Narrating the chain of events on that day made me a little breathless. Hahaha…

Now, let me see what I have in store for you for my third and last part.
