british india: my american dream?

i was not born to be enslaved by the green-eyed monster, but every time i see my chicago-based sister-in-law donning an indian traditional attire, i experience a pang of it.

from someone who fancies indian fashion (see related post at https://wanderingjouster.com/2013/04/22/talking-indian-to-me/), you can’t blame me in allowing one of the evils released from pandora’s box to overpower me.
up to this day, i am desperately (a hyperbole of course!) waiting for that moment wherein i would look like a G.I. (genuine indian). 🙂
this love of indian fashion is the main reason why i would enter cinderella boutique in alabang town center. if not for the british india section, i guess nothing would attract me much to look around in this shop.

well, this garments hub does not sell  traditional indian dresses just like what oye wore, but this is where i get to feast my eyes on gorgeous and fabulous designs of tunic blouses which i am gaga over (see entry at https://wanderingjouster.com/2012/08/25/unwanted-heirloom/). authentically made in india, i couldn’t help but be drowned in the beauty of these creations.

having a reputation of producing the best quality and vanguard style of men’s and women’s apparel, british india will satiate anyone’s fashion needs.
in my case, i just had to literally window shop yesterday. purchasing one of these tunic tops has to wait just like that day i was able to own my first two BI clothes from their mall of asia branch six years ago. oh my! that long?????? now, i have to expect that the value of these apparels are already depreciated due to wear and tear. hahaha…

my very special thanks to the unnamed sales clerk who graciously accommodated (and even covered up for me) to be able to take these photos.
