WJ fashion bags

blame it on a cup of strong coffee.

i am still very much awake and working on this article which i am excited to finish. 🙂
you know what? i had tried my hand at doing something which could be a profitable business venture one of these days. ha-ha!
see these bags?

these are my very own creations.
from simple (well, i’m a lover of simplicity!) orange and green native bags which were a “pasalubong” to me by a friend from bicol last month, i jazzed them up to have a distinctive character.
how?
i resorted to the 3 R’s –  reduce, reuse and recycle!
instead of throwing my worn out and damaged native belt which i bought from the nueva ecija stall during the aliwan fiesta 2010, i decided to use it to accent the orange bag.

it took me around 30 minutes to finalize my first personalized bag.

then, the turn of the green bag.

going to my ethnic tapestry (read more on this  at https://wanderingjouster.com/2012/08/25/unwanted-heirloom/), i looked for a necklace which i haven’t used for a long time but would be perfect for my second design in mind.

i was like a child, jumping for joy when i found the matching accessory.

i could have spent a shorter time for my second WJ  fashion  bag, but i had to start preparing for a get-together with my high school friends.
i suspended my work and did the finishing touches once i returned around 11:05 p.m. in the presence of my “kumare“, elvie,  who would be staying for the night.

boy,  was i  mighty glad of what i produced!
my new bags reflected the unique me.
no one would definitely find or own a bag like mine.
today, they are patented and i will be their walking model/endorser.

i am and will always be a PROUD user (and who knows future designer :-)) of bicol/philippine-made bags.

  1. No problem. You do the designs, I’ll do the marketing, haha. Looking at your huge collection of ethnic accessories made me certain that I won’t give you any addition to that LOL!
