darling and darkness

my sons and i had a quick visit to my older brother’s house in bf paranaque late afternoon yesterday.

i picked up the three softbrooms which my sister cristy ordered when he and his family went to baguio city. two of these would be for us and the remaining one would be for her. in exchange for these authentic “walis tambo” from the pines city, i had with me two “pinangat”  for nonoy. i guess, this barter among siblings was  fair enough. Smiley

now at the doorstep, we were surprisingly met by someone who changed our minds to leave right away.

this three-month old shih tzu is truly adorable. his friendliness, hospitality, and warmth made us wish to also have a small dog like him inside our house. in fact, he could be mistaken as a stuff toy if he wouldn’t move. we did not hear him bark even once!
alexander, arthur and lancelot got infatuated by him right away that despite being already in our house, they kept on babbling about the mini hound that diverted their attention from the brownout which began at 5:30 p.m. and lasted for full seven hours! as a result, this darkness had us eating our dinner in our veranda in the middle of the heavy rain around 6:30 p.m. with the two lighted candles, it was my first romantic dinner with my three sons.
these two D’s, darling and darkness, contrasting they may be, had still given me a friday which was something to talk about and cherish.
