Bru’s Sweet Pampering

It’s been almost a week since I have returned from my hometown, yet I still have this “hangover.”

Well, nothing’s new with me every time I would reunite with relatives and friends. Be it a short or long stay, I couldn’t stop myself from being melancholic once I’m back to the metropolis. It seemed part of me was left in Legazpi City.
But what lessened this heavy feeling is the sight of mementos given by very good friends in Bicol. They made me remember and realize how much I was cared for by them.
Take these native products which were generously gifted to me by Imelda Dado-Moratillo whom I endearingly call “bru” or Dadz.

These were too much for me being a lover of our local merchandise!
I couldn’t believe that I would be very lucky to own these proudly Bicol-made handicrafts which tourists, local and foreign, are gaga about.

Visiting  her factory in Malabog, Albay and seeing how their workers manually do the design were already a surprise treat for me late night of May 3.

Now, possessing these beautiful products was an unexpected pampering from my very good friend/batchmate Dadz who was also my regular team mate in volleyball, softball and soccer football during our whole four years in high school.
I wonder if Dadz read my mind.
The basket with cover is what I really needed to keep my dirty laundry after disposing the distorted and brittle plastic hamper from Divisoria …

… and so with the utility box which finally  answered my problem about the holder/container for my knickknacks especially my ethnic bracelets.

Bru, please bear with this trite dialog but words are indeed not enough to convey my heartfelt appreciation of  your generosity and kindness. I was already contented to be in your company and with the other katribu, but you did more than that which made me feel truly special.
