the gift of midas touch

with the gift, he has to create.

these are the first two pages of a minicomics my son arthur is patiently and seriously finishing for his theology subject. serving as their performance task, this work makes me very grateful for the talent which he has been blessed with and so with his twin brother, alexander.

my sons might not be interested to pursue a career in line with visual arts, but i am happy to see that whatever frustration i have in drawing or painting is a reality to them.

i am sure, their tito joseph will beam with pride  once he sees this. just like him, his nephews have the midas touch when holding a drawing instrument.

  1. Yes,I remember that you wrote Arthur is not into anything visual, then let him use that talent in drawing for leisure. If only he was already a grown up when I started asking ” Nilo” ( remember him) to draw something for me for my bulletin board ( back in sjcs days) he could have earned his own bucks. 🙂

It runs in the gines…I mean in the genes, haha

    1. ooops…can’t recall that. actually the twins are both into drawing. it’s only alexander who’s just very active in joining contests though.

yes, i clearly remember nilo especially his bloated figures. hehehehehe…

you said it right: it runs in the GINES! 🙂 🙂

  2. …but they are both good in arts so whether it’s xandie or arthur it’s still the same for me—what are twins for? joke, joke, joke. 🙂 I’ve been separated from them for a long time since I entrusted them with you that even when they were babies I can’t even recognize who’s who. However, looking at the posted pics in your other entries, the two are no longer similar in my eyes now that they are grown ups.
